The Division for Cooperation with the Republic of Turkey and the European Union Member States is a structural subdivision of the General Department of External Relations of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.
This department coordinates the relations of the Gagauz Autonomy with the regions of the Republic of Turkey and the countries of the European Union, as well as cooperation with their regional entities.
It facilitates the establishment of sister-city relations with partner regions, develops the necessary regulatory and legal framework and drafts cooperation agreements, submits proposals for strengthening Gagauzia’s relations with foreign countries and regions, and carries out activities to implement them within its area of competence.
