Women leaders from across the globe are taking part in the 4th Eurasian Women's Forum in St. Petersburg. Together, participants are discussing solutions to pressing issues related to sustainable development, the adoption of new technologies, and international cooperation.
Today, the Head (Bashkan) of Gagauzia, Evghenia Guțul, addressed the panel session "Women for Rural Development".
“The image of a woman has always held a central place in the history, culture, and traditional way of life of the Gagauz people. She is a mother, a homemaker, a caring wife, and the eldest daughter who supports her parents. Women in Gagauzia are not only the keepers of our traditions—they are also the driving force behind positive change.
Our autonomy is a strong example of how women leaders achieve significant results and unite people around shared values, ideas, and common goals. The active participation of women in governance is a key driver of economic and social progress, a powerful guarantee of continued development, and an essential factor in achieving outstanding results,” Bashkan of Gagauzia stated in her address.
