First Deputy of Governor ATU Gagauzia Vadim CEBAN visited the Republic of Bulgaria to participate in the Energy Forum

    Within the framework of the forum Vadim Ceban acted as a speaker at the plenary session in the conference ‘’the role of NGOs in the formation of energy policy’’    

    The event was held on 15 March 2018 in Sofia and was a part of the events under the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The main purpose of the event is to consider the extent to which the role of non-governmental organizations in the process of forming and implementing energy policy in the countries of South-Eastern Europe, regional and national levels and what needs to be improved.

    Vadim Cheban provided information on the latest initiatives and discussions regarding the participation of the Executive Committee of ATU Gagauzia in various projects on the formation of the energy policy of the Republic of Moldova, as the region is already beginning to be active in terms of generating electricity from renewable energy sources.

    Active and open participation of the Executive Committee and NGOs in the development of various policies and draft normative acts that will stimulate qualitative changes in state governance at the regional level and the openness of the authorities in the implementation of public policies for residents and society.

    Also presented the projects financed by the EU related to civil society support in the Gagauz autonomy, with total value of 1.0 million. Euro.

    Within the framework of the program, Vadim CEBAN held meetings with the Chairman of the Board of Managers of the Energy Management Institute Mr. Slavtcho Neykov and Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Mr. Janez Kopač.
