The new Ambassador of Slovakia in the Republic of Moldova, Dusan Daho, visited Gagauzia with an introductory visit.

Оn Monday, December 10, the Governor of Gagauzia Irina Vlah met with a diplomat. The official meeting was also attended by the chairman of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia Vladimir Kissa, the deputy chairman of the Executive Committee Olesya Tanasoglo, and Head of the General Department for External Relations Vitaly Vlah.
Governor congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to the post of Slovak ambassador and wished fruitful work throughout the mandate. The head of the autonomy underlined that a constructive relationship developed between the authorities of Gagauzia and the embassy of Slovakia, which resulted in the introduction of a number of joint social projects.
Irina Vlah also positively described the implementation of the GAMCON program in Gagauzia, which is being implemented with the support of Slovakia. In 2019, the Slovak Republic will chair the Organization for Security Council of Europe (OSCE).
In this regard, the Governor drew the ambassador’s attention to the process of harmonizing the legislation of the Republic of Moldova and the Gagauz Autonomy, which began with the assistance of the OSCE. The parties agreed to contact on all topical issues relating to the development of Gagauzia.
The photo exhibition was opened with a welcoming word by the ambassador of Slovakia Mr. Dušan DACHO, Governor of ATU Gagauzia Irina VLAH and the head of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia - Vladimir Kissa.
