Governor of Gagauzia And the Ambassador of Bulgaria Held Meeting Working
On August 21, 2019 Governor of Gagauzia, Irina VLAH, held a working meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Evgeny Stefanov.
During the conversation, the parties noted a high mutual interest in the development of inter-regional, economic and cultural ties between Gagauzia and the regions of Bulgaria. In particular, it was discussed the signing of a twinning agreement between the Bulgarian city of Burgas and one of the cities of Gagauzia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria is implementing a grant program under which the medical, cultural and educational institutions of our country can receive project financing of up to 140 thousand euros. The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria will assist in the preparation of grant applications for budgetary institutions interested in obtaining grants.
Separately, the parties discussed the needs for methodological and educational literature of the autonomy schools where the Bulgarian language is taught.
At the end of the meeting, Irina VLAH invited Evgeny Stefanov to take part in the V International Economic Forum InvestGagauzia and the Meeting of the Coordinating Council of External Partners of Gagauzia.
