The First Gastronomic Ethnic Festival “DOLU SOFRA” – 2023 was held in the ATU Gagauzia
On September 24, Gagauzia hosted the first Gastronomic Ethnic festival "DOLU SOFRA" - 2023. Hundreds of tourists, guests and residents of the Autonomy gathered in the central square of the city of Vulcanesti in order to experience the atmosphere of Gagauz culture and taste exclusive national Gagauz dishes. The guests were offered a wide range of Gagauz pickles, kaurma, bulgur, cabbage rolls, cheese and various pastries.
The event program was rich and diverse. Everyone was able to visit the folk art fair, take part in master classes on preparing national cuisine according to ancient Gagauz recipes, and also watch a gala concert. National farmsteads with a variety of traditional dishes of Gagauz cuisine, together with numerous invited officials, were visited by the Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia, Evghenia Guțul, within the framework of the event.
Gastronomic Ethnic Festival “DOLU SOFRA” – 2023 has become a real culinary guide to the world of various ancient recipes of dishes of Gagauz national cuisine and will remain in the memory of all its participants for a long time.
The purpose of the event is to preserve, develop and popularize traditional national cuisine and the identity of the peoples of the ATU Gagauzia.
