National Festival “Hederlez – 2024” was held in Gagauzia
Thousands of guests from Gagauzia, Chisinau and different parts of Moldova, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Romania and other countries attended the traditional festival “Hederlez” in the city of Ceadir-Lunga.
“Hederlez is an authentic and colorful national holiday that embodies the best features of the Gagauz people - diligence, love for the native land, optimism in life and respect for ancestral traditions” - said the Head of Gagauzia Evghenia Guțul.
“Hederlez has become a visiting card of Gagauzia. We hold large-scale and colorful events in the autonomy so that the traditions and customs of our people do not wither away. And so that our guests from other regions of Moldova and from all over the world could discover better the original and unique culture of the Gagauz.
This year our holiday left no one indifferent. And those who came to Gagauzia for the first time will definitely want to come back here again,” said the Bashkan of Gagauzia.
