Head of Gagauzia Evghenia Guțul met with Deputy governor of the Sverdlovsk region Vasily Kozlov
The XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is taking place in the Russian Federation from 5-8 June. On the margins of the forum, the Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia, Evghenia Guțul, together with the Chairman of the People's Assembly, Dmitri Konstantinov, met with the Deputy governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Vasily Kozlov.
‘During the meeting we emphasised the huge potential for cooperation between the regions. The Sverdlovsk region is one of the leaders in terms of industrial growth, dozens of heavy and light industries are represented here, including knowledge-intensive industries. The goods produced in the Sverdlovsk region could find a wide demand in Gagauzia and the whole Republic of Moldova.
Together with Vasily Kozlov, we spoke about the need to organise business missions for entrepreneurs from the Sverdlovsk region in order to study more thoroughly the investment potential and export opportunities of Gagauzia.
Gagauzia and Sverdlovsk region are also close and interesting to each other in the cultural sphere. Within the framework of ‘cultural exchange’, we would be glad to introduce to the residents of Ekaterinburg and other cities of the region the creativity of our famous ensembles and artists’, - emphasised the Head of the Gagauz autonomy.
