Head of Gagauzia Evghenia Guțul had a meeting with the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov

During the meeting, the parties talked about how to give the Cooperation Agreement between the regions a new dynamic.
“St. Petersburg is the centre of economic life in the North-West of the Russian Federation, it is a huge market for Gagauz agrarians and winemakers. I asked the governor to help our producers to build new logistic chains and to enter the large trade networks of St. Petersburg and European part of Russia.
We also discussed the participation of entrepreneurs from the autonomy in thematic exhibitions and business forums to promote Gagauzia's investment, export and tourism potential.
We paid special attention to health care issues in our conversation with Alexandru Dmitrievich. We talked about the possibility of imposing a separate quota for Gagauz residents to undergo free treatment and rehabilitation in the leading clinics in St Petersburg.
Gagauzia and St. Petersburg are close and interesting to each other in the cultural sphere. Within the framework of ‘cultural exchange’ we would be glad to acquaint Petersburgers with the work of our famous ensembles and popular artists and, of course, we would be glad to welcome cultural figures from St. Petersburg in Gagauzia,” the Bashkan said.
