Head of Gagauzia Evghenia Guțul meets with the Gagauz Diaspora in St. Petersburg

The Head of Gagauzia, Evghenia Guțul, met with representatives of the Gagauz diaspora in Russia during her visit to St. Petersburg.

“We discussed the changes my team is bringing to Gagauzia. In less than a year, we have built more than 50 kilometers of modern asphalt roads across the autonomy's localities.

My colleagues and I have been able to support our farmers by restoring access for fruit and vegetable products to the Russian market. We have also provided additional support to pensioners and public sector employees. With the assistance of our partners, we launched a program of monthly allowances of 2,000 lei for 30,000 residents of the autonomy.

Members of the diaspora in Russia are particularly concerned about the challenges facing both our autonomy and the country as a whole. Our compatriots care deeply about the future of their families and loved ones and hope to see peace and stability prevail in Moldova,” the Head of Gagauzia said.

The Head of the autonomy expressed her gratitude to everyone who attended the meeting for their genuine concern for the future of Gagauzia.
